Maintenance Technician PVC Day Shift M-F 7AM-3PM
About The Position
This position is for our Wilmington Location. The Maintenance Technician ensures production lines and other equipment are maintained and able to run at all times. They assist in developing and prioritizing work orders, complete work order requests, and support workplace organization and production efficiency programs. The role also involves assisting, coaching, and training operators in daily preventative maintenance checks, supporting the preventative maintenance process, and contributing to line commissioning after maintenance/process events. Additionally, the technician will assist and participate with other plant projects as needed and operate in a manner that provides value to the team, performing additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 0 plus years of experience in role of Maintenance Tech I
- Computer skills to include: Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook
- Proven experience in working unassisted with and troubleshooting: Electrical, Electronic, Motor Controller Drives, Mechanical, Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems
- Strong background in manufacturing systems in dynamic fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings
- Strong decision making, analytical skills and proven ability to work cross-functionally
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving abilities
- Strong mathematical skills
- Success in planning, executing and managing projects
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate upward and downward to a wide range of audiences
- Must be self-directed and motivated and able to multi-task in fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing environment
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
- Stick and wire welding experience required
- Forklift experience required
Nice To Haves
- Working knowledge of extrusion process, twin screw setup, blending system a plus
- Knowledge of PLC Logic technology, a plus
- Structural welding certification, a plus
- Ability to complete TT Forklift Certification program
Responsibilities
- Ensures production lines and other equipment are maintained and able to run at all times
- Assists in developing and prioritizing work orders with Maintenance Manager, Production Supervision and Line Leads.
- Completes work order requests as defined by Maintenance Manager, Productions Management/Supervision, and/or Operators.
- Supports workplace organization programs (6S) and production efficiency programs (TPM).
- Assists, coaches, and trains operators in daily preventative maintenance (CIL) checks
- Supports and assists preventative maintenance process on the shift
- Contributes and assists in line commissioning after maintenance/process events
- Assists and participates with other plant projects as needed
- Operates in a manner that provides value to the team
- Performs additional duties as needed and/or assigned by supervision/management

- $2,100.00 Sign-On Bonus
- $700.00 after 90 days
- $700.00 after 6 months
