About The Position

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for daily machine repairs and proper corrective actions. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Responsible for all building maintenance; Repair or replace control devices such as switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, contactors, more starters, etc., as needed; Perform work order repairs, inspection, adjustments, and calibrations; Use exceptional problem-solving skills to make quick and effective decisions; Able to design and fabricate small repair parts; Responsible for preventative and predictive maintenance activities on weekly and daily work; Maintain and update Down-Time Tracker and predictive and preventative maintenance schedule; Notify Production of extended repairs and downtime; Ensure work order and preventative maintenance documentation processes are in place and administered; Provide solutions to technical problems and recommendations for improvements in production activities; Create and secure a safe work environment; Participates in plant health, safety and environment programs; and Any other tasks assigned by the Maintenance Manager.

Requirements

  • Post Secondary education in electrical or mechanical related courses
  • Technical Trades Training / Licensed Millwright (433a) with Canadian Apprenticeship preferred
  • 5+ Years of maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada and able to commute daily to the office
