About The Position

You’ll take the lead in keeping our equipment running. You will implement maintenance initiatives to prevent costly repairs and extend machinery life, while inspecting and troubleshooting equipment to minimize downtime, reducing operational costs and ensuring seamless production. Your technical expertise will be a key success factor for our organization. You’ll be instrumental in proactive maintenance and swift issue diagnostics, directly contributing to high production standards, increased customer satisfaction, and reducing waste. You’ll play a key role in keeping your colleagues safe. You will adhere to plant policies and procedures, upholding safety standards, fostering a safer workplace environment and minimizing risks associated with equipment failures. You’ll be an essential team player. You will play a crucial role in collaborating with the manufacturing team, promoting a culture of teamwork and shared responsibility in achieving the facility's production and quality objectives.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
Must have two years of maintenance manufacturing or power generation mechanical experience.
Strong technical understanding and problem-solving skills.
Strong interpersonal skills; able to work well and communicate in a timely manner at all company levels.
Ability to navigate computer maintenance management systems.
Demonstrated ability to read standard blueprints, machine, and process drawings (P&ID, PFD, and Isometrics).

Nice To Haves

Welding certification (GTAW, GMAW, SMAW) is desired.

Responsibilities

Performs maintenance as directed on all plant equipment and other duties in accordance with Bakelite guidelines.
Keeps records of maintenance performed including preventive and repair maintenance on all plant equipment.
Supplies records of maintenance performed and performs preventative and repair maintenance on all plant equipment.
Performs fabrication, assembly, and erection of equipment and structures as directed.
Performs routine scheduled inspections of equipment and reports any abnormalities.
Qualified to give on the spot first aid treatment and willing to always wear proper personal protective safety gear and maintain safety gear in good condition.
Perform construction, installation, and modifications in accordance with engineering and management approved directives.
See that all materials, supplies, and equipment are kept in proper places and cleans up after every job.
