About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems in an industrial production facility. This role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting various electrical and mechanical components, as well as understanding and troubleshooting PLC ladder logic. The technician will also develop and maintain good working relationships and collaborate as part of a dedicated maintenance team. Other duties and projects may be assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma/GED required.
Four years of apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field preferred.
Maintenance experience in an industrial setting, preferably a continuous operation.
Experience with electrical systems ranging from 24V control through 480V supply.
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize projects and workload.
Strength in collaboration and working in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

Degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field preferred.
Experience with maintaining and repairing robotic packaging systems is a plus.
Experience and proficiency in electrical and electronic principles.
Experience and proficiency in blueprint and electrical schematic reading.
Experience and proficiency in Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Experience and proficiency in preventative maintenance procedures.

Responsibilities

Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems typically found in an industrial production facility.
Installing, maintaining and troubleshooting power distribution systems, branch circuits, lighting systems, and transformers.
Installing, maintaining and troubleshooting electrical and electronic control components such as photo eyes, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, solenoids, servo drives, tachometers and encoders.
Installing, maintaining and troubleshooting motors, motor starters, gearboxes, drive systems, fans, pumps, conveyors, timing belts.
Understanding or ability to learn PLC ladder logic and troubleshooting components (CPU back planes, I/O boards, counters, control and communications modules).
Developing and maintaining good working relationships across all levels of the organization, work as part of a dedicated maintenance team.
Other duties or projects as assigned.
