About The Position

This position is responsible for the efficient operation, upkeep, and repair of equipment, facilities, and systems. The role involves performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and responding to maintenance requests to minimize downtime and ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school
  • 2-5 years of related experience
  • Proficient with basic PLC, troubleshooting, and programming
  • Experience with operating a forklift
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Effectively communicate in a professional demeanor when dealing with the public or any level of employees.
  • Ability to safely work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to work in a team environment or independently
  • Ability to work overtime

Responsibilities

  • Hold self-accountable to create and maintain a safe working environment
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility infrastructure equipment.
  • Diagnose malfunction or failure of operational equipment and perform corrective maintenance action.
  • Perform changeovers and adjust machines to ensure proper operation of equipment.
  • Maintain maintenance records for individual work in CMMS
  • Plan and install new electrical connections for manufacturing equipment
  • Diagnose and repair manufacturing equipment
  • Modify electrical prototypes to correct functional deviations under the direction of an Electrical Engineer.
  • Plan, direct, and record periodic electrical testing
  • Troubleshoot electrical control systems via online connection to PLCs and understanding of ladder diagram language to identify inputs and outputs
  • Comply with all company Procedures, Policies, and Work Instructions
  • May perform electrical, mechanical, welding, plumbing and carpentry duties as needed for the facility.
  • Read and interpret drawings and schematics to locate problem areas and suggest methods for corrective action.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
