Maintenance Technician

About The Position
Are you a reliable, hands-on team player who enjoys variety and takes pride in your work? American Communities is looking for a Maintenance Technician to support daily operations and help keep our apartment community running smoothly.
Requirements
- 1+ year of general maintenance or make-ready experience (apartment industry preferred)
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair
- Strong work ethic and team-oriented attitude
- Ability to handle physical tasks and work outdoors as needed
- Willingness to learn and grow into more advanced maintenance skills (HVAC a plus, but not required)

Responsibilities
- Assist with apartment turns (make-readies)
- Perform general maintenance and minor repairs (plumbing, electrical, appliances)
- Support work orders and preventative maintenance
- Maintain curb appeal, including grounds care and exterior upkeep
- Work closely with the maintenance team to ensure resident satisfaction
