Requirements

  • Approximately five years job related experience necessary to learn maintenance procedures and equipment operations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions when receiving and processing requisitions, maintain simple records of items repaired, as well as other routine equipment history.
  • Ability to unload, transport and place heavy materials weighing up to forty pounds in appropriate locations in order to repair machinery and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical/electrical prints and drawings.
  • Ability to differentiate color when repairing electrical services with multicolored wires.

Nice To Haves

  • Secondary or Technical degree/certification preferred.
  • Completion of the following courses or equivalent hands on experience: High voltage electrical course, Electrical troubleshooting course and three phase systems course, Pneumatics course, PLC course, Welding course, Robotics course, Hydraulic Pumps and valves course.

Responsibilities

  • Performs preventative routine maintenance and repairs to machinery, equipment, buildings and grounds per pre-established schedules.
  • Disassembles and reassembles machinery and equipment using various power and manual machinery and tools.
  • Performs a variety of buildings, machinery, and equipment repairs, installation, or modification.
  • Obtains materials and supplies from local distributors, warehouses, or merchants.
  • Cleans equipment, machinery and building.
  • Keep records of work performed and related maintenance records.
  • Other duties as assigned.
