About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting the safe operation, maintenance, repair, and continuous functionality of manufacturing equipment and facility systems within the Jonathan Louis Mississippi manufacturing operation. This role supports production uptime by performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, assisting with facility repairs, and coordinating with vendors and contractors as needed. The Maintenance Technician plays a key role in maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient manufacturing environment while supporting production, warehouse, shipping, and facility operations.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial environment preferred
  • Experience supporting production equipment, facility systems, and preventative maintenance programs
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and plumbing systems
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, and maintenance equipment
  • Ability to read and follow technical instructions, diagrams, and safety procedures
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and operational reliability
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and lift throughout the workday
  • Ability to lift and move materials or equipment up to established company limits
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment that may include heat, dust, noise, and varying temperatures

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift certification or ability to become certified preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
  • Ability to work flexible hours or overtime as needed to support production operations

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment and power tools used in upholstery, assembly, warehouse, and material handling operations
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and basic hydraulic issues on production equipment
  • Assist with facility maintenance including plumbing, lighting, painting, roofing leaks, dock equipment, and general building repairs
  • Support installation and setup of production lines, workstations, racks, conveyors, scanners, kiosks, and related operational equipment
  • Monitor and maintain electrical panels, compressed air systems, and facility utilities
  • Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors for repairs, installations, and preventative maintenance services
  • Obtain vendor quotes and assist leadership with maintenance-related purchasing needs
  • Maintain spare parts, maintenance supplies, and repair inventories
  • Support safety initiatives by ensuring machinery guards, safety devices, and emergency equipment are functioning properly
  • Assist with troubleshooting network-connected production equipment, scanners, clocks, kiosks, and related operational hardware as needed
  • Maintain clean and organized maintenance and work areas
  • Respond quickly to production downtime situations to minimize operational disruptions
  • Follow all company safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and maintenance standards
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support efficient facility and production operations
