About The Position

The Maintenance Technician performs various duties including installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment according to safety and operation guidelines. This role is responsible for ensuring production runs safely and efficiently by diagnosing and repairing mechanical problems, performing routine and preventative maintenance, and completing project-related mechanical tasks. The technician will also be involved in maintaining the building and coordinating with outside vendors for repairs. A strong emphasis is placed on safety, including the proper use of PPE and tools, and maintaining a clean work environment. The role requires the ability to read and interpret technical documents, order parts, and assist in other areas as needed.

Requirements

Associate degree in industrial maintenance or minimum of 2 years of industrial maintenance experience required.
Able to work independently and manage multiple demands of time and attention in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Must provide own hand tools.
Available to work overtime or outside of normal business hours for projects and preventative maintenance.
Minimum of 2 years experience with electrical (480v/240v/120v single and 3 phase).
Minimum of 2 years experience with pneumatics.
Minimum of 2 years experience with hydraulics.
High School Diploma or GED preferred or other equivalent and relevant demonstrated skills and experience.
Ability to be energetic and focused while working in a team-oriented environment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
Must be able to thoroughly complete paperwork/documents.

Nice To Haves

Experience performing maintenance on PLC equipment preferred.
Other skills such as plumbing, carpentry, and welding and fabrication are preferred.
Experience troubleshooting robotic equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assemble, install, and maintain production machines and facility equipment.
Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts; checking fluid levels; replacing filters; or other preventative maintenance actions per schedule.
Diagnose mechanical problems and perform unscheduled repairs of production machines and facility equipment.
Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, and plumbing.
Complete the mechanical elements of projects resulting from corrective actions relating to safety and quality.
Ensure personal safety by always using designated personal protective equipment (PPE) and tools designed and rated for the task, complying with safety regulations, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Read and interpret equipment manuals, work orders, and blueprints to complete repairs and maintenance on machines and equipment.
Order parts, supplies, or equipment with direction of Maintenance Manager.
Coordinate routine maintenance on the building such as painting, roofing, fixing doors, drywall, or other parts of the building with outside vendors with direction of Maintenance Manager.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
Assist in other areas and perform other duties, as needed.
