About The Position

Perform equipment diagnosis and repair for both electrical & mechanical issues. Disassemble/reassemble equipment such as gearboxes, cylinders, pumps, valves, etc. and repair/replace worn or defective parts. This position requires a high attention to detail, the ability to work in ambiguous situations and requires little direction to get things done. Strong electrical skills, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical troubleshooting skills and abilities are required. Must be able to work with a team. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, quality documents, set-up instructions and blueprints. Be able to fill out charts and other simple documents and to effectively communicate with team members verbally and through e-mail.

  • Working level knowledge of computers
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to twenty-five pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Perform equipment diagnosis and repair for both electrical & mechanical issues.
  • Disassemble/reassemble equipment such as gearboxes, cylinders, pumps, valves, etc. and repair/replace worn or defective parts.
  • Mechanical Repair- ability to diagnose, fix, and maintain machinery and equipment.
  • Basic Welding- techniques for using appropriate welding tools for the tasks.
  • Hydraulic Systems- ability to perform inspections, leak detection and repairs.
  • Pneumatic Systems- ability to conduct routine checks for leaks, hose condition, and correct air pressure levels.
  • Preventive Maintenance- ability to monitor and inspect equipment to catch early issues.
  • Ability to read and understand Blueprints.
  • Ability to work with Contractors or Vendors.
  • Ability to operate Forklift, Scissor Lift
  • Experience and demonstrated ability to communicate with other associates (in every department) in a meaningful and respectful manner in the performance of duties.
  • Can perform various mathematic tasks (add, subtract, divide, multiply).
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
