About The Position

The Crescent Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing maintenance duties committed to meeting all customer and people needs. This role ensures operations align with the Crescent Way- 3 P’s: Purpose, Process, and People, while building on a culture of Doing it Right, Doing it Safe, and Doing it Well. The position involves ensuring equipment operates safely, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and actively seeking to remove risks associated with equipment. Technicians will provide technical expertise, assist in training other personnel, and communicate professionally. They are expected to contribute to productivity by looking for new uses of technology, participating in setups, completing Preventative Maintenance (PMs) on time, and generating continuous improvement ideas. Quality is paramount, ensuring equipment produces quality product and participating in root cause analysis for quality issues. Customer value is demonstrated through real-time support for customer trials and visits. Financially, technicians are responsible for specifying and sourcing cost-effective equipment and parts, making sound decisions on repairs, and maintaining personal productivity.

Requirements

1+ years’ experience in equipment maintenance
Maintain the production equipment in a safe manner
Improve productivity through idea and implementation of ideas
I am at least 18 years of age of older
I can perform the essential functions of this position, with or without accommodation
I am a US Citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the US on an unrestricted basis

Responsibilities

Ensure a safe work environment is maintained
Engage in the Safety Observation process
Complete maintenance tasks on time and correctly as assigned
Ensure all equipment is operating safely
Ensure all maintenance work is being completed in a safe manner
Ensure a clean and organized work space, and hold themselves to a high standard and lives the “leave work areas better than found them”
Continually seek out and remove forms of risk created by our equipment and equipment setup
Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting capabilities
Help in training for all other personnel at Crescent (FLO’s, Line Leaders, Machine Operators) who will interact and or operate with equipment
Treat People with Respect and communicate in a professional manner
Able to except direction and delegation from leaders
Encourage People to take ownership and build relationships with other Key Crescent People
Look for new uses of technology and equipment, providing Crescent and customers with flexibility and improved productivity
Participate in setups and ensure they are done correctly, safely and on time
Complete all PM’s on time
Look for and create Continuous improvement ideas
Communicate issues and opportunities to the Maintenance Leader
Ensure all equipment is operating in a manner that produces quality product
Communicate any suspected quality issues to the appropriate person
Participate in root cause analysis on quality issues and be part of corrective action development
Provide consultation along with Quality leader and Ops leadership on all new builds to ensure “quality at the source” design
Ensure the completion of all required PM’s – Crescent and Customer owned equipment
Provide real time support to customer trials, samples and visits
Responsible to specify, source and select cost effective equipment, spare parts and services
Good decision making on repair / replacing parts and equipment
Maintain a personal level of productivity
