About The Position

We’re seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with some plumbing experience to join our maintenance team and help ensure operational continuity in our greenhouse facilities. If you have knowledge and experience in operating boilers, even better!

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in an agricultural, industrial, or manufacturing setting.
  • Plumbing experience required
  • Proficiency in basic electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and irrigation systems
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
  • Ability to read and follow SOPs, blueprints, and technical documentation
  • Mobile device proficiency for communication and system updates
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in both indoor and outdoor greenhouse environments

Nice To Haves

  • Boiler system experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily tasks in compliance with company safety protocols to ensure personal and team safety.
  • Complete assigned reactive work orders and preventative maintenance (PM) tasks, including logging labor time, parts used, and resolution steps in the work order system, and returning all tools, equipment, and materials after task completion and disposing of waste properly.
  • Conduct routine inspections of assigned areas to proactively identify issues with ventilation and inflation systems, irrigation systems, electrical and mechanical systems, and greenhouse structures.
  • Generate work orders for any issues discovered during inspections or PMs.
  • Assist with equipment repairs on greenhouse and production line systems.
  • Help maintain accurate parts and supply inventory, including physical organization and digital records.
  • Support other technicians on complex issues or large repair efforts.
  • Help train newer maintenance team members on equipment and procedures.
  • Respond to service requests from the Growing and Production teams to support operational needs.
  • Use the Building Management System (BMS) to support diagnostics and complete work orders related to facility systems.
  • Assist in or lead equipment and facility upgrade projects assigned to the maintenance department.
  • Maintain and care for all assigned company tools, equipment, and assets in good working condition.
  • Responsibly monitor and respond to communication platforms including email, the work order system, and mobile apps as required.
