About The Position

Responsible for maintenance of equipment and facility. Performs preventative and routine maintenance of all equipment and facilities. Prepares and processes reports, maintains records, and makes recommendations for all procedures and operations. Performs other maintenance-related duties as required. The overriding and most important function of each employee is to either directly (by interaction) or indirectly (by providing the key support role to a guest experience) strive to provide the finest in friendly service and quality product.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, plumbing, and construction principles.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to develop and maintain comprehensive maintenance records.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, hydraulics, electrical, mechanical, and construction principles.
  • Acquisition capability; ability to coordinate with vendors for technical guidance, purchase and shipment of parts, and processing of purchase orders.
  • Research capability; ability to independently seek out technical guidance, find solutions, and implement the solutions to various maintenance issues from a variety of sources.
  • Safely able to work around hazardous chemicals on a regular basis.
  • Effective time management, often working independently during non operational hours.
  • Must have excellent technical, diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
  • Detail orientated, and organized.
  • Self motivated Team player, with good communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • One year of chemistry, public safety, or maintenance experience including responsibility for cleaning and maintaining a pool facility.
  • CPO or AFO certificate is preferred.
  • Recommend Certification in OSHA, First Aid, CPR and Ellis & Associates Lifeguard Training.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive equipment and facility preventative maintenance program; to include the HVAC system, UV Light Disinfection system, pumps, filters, and overall general maintenance of the facility; interior and exterior.
  • Inspect, monitor, maintain, and service swimming pool pumps, motors, electrical systems, and related equipment to ensure proper operation of all swimming pools at all times.
  • Establish and manage a “parts on hand inventory” of critical operational items.
  • Proactively identify tasks that need to be done, and prioritized effectively.
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager
