About The Position

The Maintenance Technician performs preventive maintenance and repairs at the Portland Embassy Suites. The role includes maintaining guest rooms and hotel systems, responding to guest and associate work orders, and caring for hotel grounds and equipment. The position requires regular lifting and extended periods of standing, walking, bending, and squatting.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of general maintenance experience.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to bend, squat, walk, and stand for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

• Hotel maintenance experience preferred.
• HVAC, electrical, or plumbing certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks, including guest room care.
• Complete and document guest and associate work orders.
• Troubleshoot and repair minor electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
• Maintain, clean, and adjust pool systems and chemicals.
• Repair furniture, fixtures, and hotel equipment, including laundry, kitchen, and small appliances.
• Perform seasonal landscaping, groundskeeping, and trash removal duties.
• Operate and maintain hand tools and power equipment.
