About The Position
The Maintenance Technician will focus on electrical systems. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the maintainability, reliability, and availability of our equipment through proactive maintenance and testing procedures. Neogen is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team! Hours: Monday-Thursday 4:00pm-2:30am or Tuesday-Friday 4:00pm-2:30am.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years' experience dealing with repairing down equipment, preventative maintenance tasks, electrical experience preferred
- Highschool Diploma or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled maintenance on equipment to optimize performance and minimize downtime.
- Test equipment for performance and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues and perform repairs as needed.
- Replace old or faulty electrical components and equipment.
- Provide technical support and training to staff on the operation and maintenance of equipment.
- Complete preventive maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and reduce unplanned downtime.
- Be available to work weekends and overtime as required to support operational needs.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed.
- Initiative to contribute ideas and actions to cut costs and increase production.
- Be "hands on" and be able to work unsupervised.
