About The Position

The Maintenance Technician works with and supports the production team to keep companywide equipment running. This individual ensures the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and repairing or installing factory equipment and machinery.

Requirements

High school diploma required
Minimum of 1 year of industrial maintenance experience
Strong troubleshooting skills
Knowledge of reading and interpreting electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic schematics
Knowledge of diagnosing PLC and VFD
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook) with the ability to quickly learn new systems
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task

Nice To Haves

Additional education is a plus
Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering or similar

Responsibilities

Providing full information about problems and attempts made to resolve them to the next shift and the supervisor and their appropriate documentation.
Following repair procedures, operation, maintenance and inspection of machines, devices and machine installation in a proper and timely manner and in accordance with company operation manuals, legal regulations and best practices.
Setting up, installing and repairing production, building equipment and specialty machines.
Checking, maintaining, repairing, and replacing automation lines, high pressure steam, air/gas lines, electrical/electronic controls, piping and tubing.
Reading technical manuals to understand equipment and controls.
Diagnosing problems, determining extent of repairs and estimating labor time.
Disassembling machinery/equipment, repairing or replacing broken or malfunctioning components.
Inspecting equipment for proper lubrication and performing preventative maintenance duties.
Operating forklift and/or scissor lift to install or repair industrial equipment.
May welding, grinding and/or soldering to fabricate small parts to machines.
Collaborating with external services technicians.
Performing additional assignments per the Manager’s direction.
