About The Position

Land O'Frost is hiring an experienced Maintenance Technician for its Searcy, Arkansas plant. The technician troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains production equipment used to make lunchmeat and specialty sausage products, helping keep production lines safe and efficient. The role involves preventive and corrective maintenance, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, and opportunities to build skills with production equipment and PLC troubleshooting. Career advancement may include Lead Maintenance Technician and, over time, Maintenance Supervisor.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of mechanical maintenance experience.
• At least 1 year of industrial electrical experience.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
• Experience using a CMMS/work-order system.
• Ability to work weekends and overtime as required.
• Good communication with the team and supervisor.
• Reliable attendance.
• Able to perform the stated physical functions, including lifting up to 60 pounds, walking, bending and stooping, and climbing ladders or step stools up to 4 feet.
• Able to work for extended periods in temperatures of 32°F to 45°F in areas such as the cookroom, production floor, freezers, and mechanical room.

• Formal electrical training.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment issues and use electrical schematics to identify root causes.
• Complete maintenance service requests and work orders, documenting work in the CMMS/work-order system.
• Meet with the Maintenance Supervisor to review daily priorities.
• Assist with bench repairs and maintain spare-parts inventory.
• Identify opportunities to reduce equipment variation, downtime, and operating costs.
• Recommend process and equipment improvements.
• Assist with emergency response situations within the plant.
• Follow safety requirements and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Follow food safety, quality, and GMP procedures.
