About The Position

Kerry Brothers Truck Repair is expanding and growing fast, and we are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic knowledge of maintenance techniques, tools, and equipment used in building and grounds maintenance.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, work independently, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual labor tasks, lift and carry heavy objects, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and professionalism.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with team members and interact professionally with tenants, visitors, and vendors.

Nice To Haves

  • Vocational training or certification in maintenance, landscaping, or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in facility maintenance, groundskeeping, or landscaping is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and proper functioning of all facilities, including buildings, grounds, and common areas.
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas according to established procedures and schedules.
  • Conduct regular checks of lighting, plumbing, HVAC systems, and other building systems to identify and address maintenance issues promptly.
  • Assist with minor repairs and adjustments to building fixtures, furniture, and equipment as needed.
  • Maintain the appearance and safety of outdoor spaces, including parking lots, sidewalks, landscaping, and green areas.
  • Perform lawn care tasks such as mowing, trimming, edging, and weeding to keep outdoor areas neat and well-maintained.
  • Remove litter, debris, and snow from walkways and parking areas, using appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Monitor irrigation systems and water features to ensure proper operation and address any issues or leaks.
  • Inspect, clean, and lubricate machinery, tools, and equipment to ensure proper operation and prevent malfunctions or breakdowns.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment such as lawnmowers, trimmers, blowers, and power tools according to manufacturer guidelines.
  • Report any equipment defects, malfunctions, or safety hazards to the Maintenance Supervisor for repair or replacement.
  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of equipment and furniture for events, meetings, and special projects as needed.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, procedures, and guidelines to prevent accidents, injuries, and property damage.
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safe work practices when performing maintenance tasks or operating equipment.
  • Participate in safety training programs and meetings to stay informed about workplace hazards, emergency procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Report any safety concerns, near misses, or incidents to the Maintenance Supervisor or Safety Officer immediately.
