The Maintenance Technician is responsible for receiving daily work assignments, organizing materials, tools, and equipment, and maintaining timelines according to the preventive maintenance program. This role involves checking work orders, making rounds to identify and address maintenance and safety concerns within the hotel, and coordinating scheduled work with other departments. The technician will also be responsible for installing and repairing vinyl and wallpaper, stripping and refinishing guest room furniture, and ensuring the proper use, cleaning, maintenance, and storage of all tools and supplies. Additionally, the role requires maintaining cleanliness and organization of work areas, handling chemicals according to OSHA requirements, ensuring the security of assigned keys and beepers, completing room preventative maintenance, and responding to guest maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner. The position also entails completing all necessary paperwork, adhering to hotel and departmental policies, and working cohesively with colleagues and other departments.
