About The Position
The Maintenance Technician position is considered vital to the overall operation of the property. Resident retention programs depend largely on the performance and professionalism of the Maintenance team, and total commitment to the position and property operations is paramount.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Special training and/or experience may be required in one or more of the following areas: HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, and Appliance Repair.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for timely completion (24 hours) of service requests as assigned by the Supervisor.
- Participation in the maintenance on-call rotation is required.
- Ongoing preventative maintenance.
- Make-ready maintenance.
- Other duties and projects deemed necessary by management.
- Basic aptitude in apartment maintenance-related areas.
- Good communication skills; ability to interact with residents, prospects, co-workers, and vendors.
- Must be self-motivated and able to complete assigned tasks with little or no supervision.
- Must be diplomatic in dealings with residents and ensure others on the maintenance staff are the same.
