About The Position

Extreme Engineering Solutions (X-ES) is seeking a skilled, hands-on Maintenance Technician to support our modern 125,000 sq. ft. office and light manufacturing facility. This role offers a mix of equipment maintenance, facility support, and technical troubleshooting in a clean, quiet, and highly engineered environment. This is a primarily first-shift position with limited weekend requirements, offering strong work-life balance and the opportunity to work independently while supporting a wide range of systems and equipment. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for executing preventive maintenance and performing a wide range of repair and upkeep activities across facility infrastructure and production support equipment. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, solid troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, technical environment.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited high school (or valid General Educational Development certificate).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience using hand and power tools.
  • Working knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment and facility-related issues.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
  • Ability to safely climb ladders, work at heights, and maintain balance while carrying tools.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (mileage reimbursed for work-related errands).
  • Ability to work onsite from our facility located at 9901 Silicon Prairie Parkway in Verona, WI.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree in industrial maintenance or related field.
  • Two (2+) years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or technical environment preferred.
  • Experience with HVAC systems, cryogenic systems, or environmental test equipment.
  • Familiarity with OSHA or other safety and regulatory standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams.
  • Experience working in a preventive maintenance-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Execute scheduled preventive maintenance across facility and production support equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues.
  • Perform component replacement, wiring repair, valve servicing, and general system maintenance.
  • Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Maintain building systems, safety equipment, and general infrastructure.
  • Track and document maintenance activities and completed work.
