About The Position

The YMCA is looking for dedicated individuals to join our Maintenance/ Wellness Staff. As a key member of our team, you’ll play an essential role in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for everyone who walks through our doors. From ensuring equipment is in top condition to keeping our facilities spotless, your work will directly contribute to the well-being and experience of our community.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of facility maintenance experience.
• Must have the ability to communicate well with others.
• Reliable transportation to attend work.
• Ability to relate to, welcome and communicate with diverse groups of people regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences.

Nice To Haves

• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Focus on safety.
• Comfortable working independently as well as in a team.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and other maintenance-related areas.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the maintenance, improvement, safety, and cleaning operations.
• Equipment repairs and preventive maintenance tasks in the Wellness department.
• Ensure a safe and secure environment both within and around the facility.
