The Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping up to date equipment maintenance logs, inventory of machine parts, and updating the preventative maintenance manual quarterly. This role involves performing day-to-day routine maintenance of the facility as outlined by regulatory agencies and internal standards, assisting with all aspects of property maintenance including preventive and corrective duties in a welding environment, and following the maintenance program to protect and maintain the property. The position is fundamental to all mechanical functions of the facility and requires working closely with the Maintenance Supervisor, other Maintenance Technicians, Production Supervisors, and Production Employees. It demands established organizational skills, attention to detail, solid time management, good interpersonal skills, strong leadership, customer service, technical skills, and problem-solving abilities. The role also involves projecting a professional image, providing service to vendors, and maintaining a clean atmosphere. The normal working environment requires routine and frequent meeting of critical deadlines and frequent exposure to outdoor climate and weather conditions.
