Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 4+ years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Current working knowledge of 480V, 3-phase electricity
  • Experience in troubleshooting and reading electrical/mechanical schematics
  • Understanding of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems and ability and knowledge of gauges and measurements.
  • Possesses hydraulic & pneumatic repair experience
  • Ability to communicate with production operators and other maintenance technicians to be able to explain mechanical processes and root causes
  • Strong focus on safety and quality

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with programmable controllers (PLC’s) and Honeywell process controls a plus
  • Machining, welding, fabrication and millwright experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Properly troubleshoot, adjust and repair all production and material-handling equipment
  • Perform all tasks and duties necessary for efficient start-ups, daily operation, change-over and shut-downs
  • Perform preventative maintenance on and/or repair production machines, heating, cooling and steam systems, material-handling equipment, as well as plumbing, electrical and hydraulic/pneumatics equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair various electrical and mechanical systems
  • Properly record preventative maintenance tasks
  • Complete work orders as required
  • Timely respond to maintenance calls on the production floor
  • Assist in providing installation of new machinery
  • Inventory spare parts and report usage; suggest re-order to maintenance lead
  • Maintain neat and orderly work area, properly maintain tools
