About The Position

The Maintenance Technician helps ensure our Meridian, Mississippi facility remains safe, comfortable, and in good working order for residents, visitors, and staff. This full-time, onsite role supports daily operations through timely service and a strong focus on safety and quality. Key responsibilities include coordinating maintenance needs with nursing, completing routine repairs and preventive maintenance, supporting refurbishing projects, maintaining grounds, monitoring building systems and equipment, and assisting with safety inspections, tests, and drills. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years in building trades/maintenance preferred
• Working knowledge of common tools and maintenance software

Responsibilities

• Coordinating maintenance needs with nursing
• Completing routine repairs and preventive maintenance
• Supporting refurbishing projects
• Maintaining grounds

• Reviewing overnight notes and any new service requests
• Planning priorities to minimize disruption in resident areas
• Moving between resident spaces, common areas, and mechanical rooms
• Documenting updates
• Communicating status clearly to the appropriate teams
• Checking critical systems for steady performance
• Walking the exterior to confirm walkways and grounds are orderly
• Closing out open items
• Staging materials for the next day
