About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for preparing units for guest arrivals, completing work order assignments, and ensuring the overall condition and safety of rental units and their associated mechanical and electrical equipment. This role requires strong guest service skills, effective time management, and the ability to perform various maintenance tasks. The technician will also be responsible for maintaining an inventory of parts and hardware, ensuring cleanliness of work areas, and promoting a cooperative work environment.

Requirements

  • Strong time management skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
  • Basic reading ability and legible writing skills.
  • Ability to communicate well with guests and fellow workers to obtain timely work priorities and schedules.
  • Ability to work effectively with co-workers.
  • Good vision and hearing.
  • Positive attitude and self-motivation.
  • Flexibility with changing schedules.
  • Must be able to recognize and fix deficiencies in all the rental units and be able to complete repairs.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull weights of 100-150 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of electricity, plumbing, hot tub maintenance, carpentry, drywall repair, painting, appliance repair and other maintenance skills is helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares units for arrivals of incoming guests/owners including light checks, trash removal, outstanding work orders, and hot tub cleanliness.
  • Secures units with hot tubs after departure.
  • Completes work order assignments.
  • Provides great guest service.
  • Responsible for master keys, security, and safety.
  • Attends scheduled department meetings, including safety and training.
  • Returns all work keys and tools to the Maintenance Department at the end of every shift.
  • Completes all required paperwork and submits when due.
  • Becomes knowledgeable about Jackson Hole Resort Lodging operations and shares information with guests.
  • Reports to work at scheduled time and is prepared to work.
  • Maintains units on the program in top condition, including wall and floor coverings, woodwork, tile, furniture, fixtures, cabinetry, and appliances.
  • Maintains all mechanical and electrical equipment in top condition, including plumbing and fixtures, heating and air handling units, pumps, appliances, lighting, tools, fire systems, and automatic sprinklers.
  • Maintains an inventory of parts and hardware.
  • Maintains cleanliness of units, vehicles, and working areas.
  • Becomes familiar with the operation, purpose, and safety practices of all equipment, supplies, and procedures.
  • Promotes a cooperative and problem-solving atmosphere at all times.
  • Carries and conducts oneself in a conducive manner to Jackson Hole Resort Lodging.
  • Manages time effectively and productively.
  • Performs any other work-related duties delegated by the Maintenance Director.
