About The Position

Custom Filters Direct is actively hiring Maintenance Technicians for both 1st and 2nd Shift to support our expanding manufacturing operations. We are looking for experienced maintenance professionals who can operate, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair industrial manufacturing equipment to keep our production lines running efficiently. If you have experience maintaining automated production equipment and enjoy solving mechanical and electrical problems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, we'd like to hear from you.

Requirements

  • Previous experience maintaining, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing industrial manufacturing equipment is required.
  • Experience operating and repairing automated production machinery.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to diagnose equipment failures and perform repairs independently.
  • Experience performing preventative maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to minimize equipment downtime while maintaining safe work practices.
  • Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment.
  • Reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime when needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with motors, VFDs, sensors, relays, conveyors, bearings, gearboxes, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • PLC troubleshooting experience not required but is a plus (Allen Bradley preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Operate, monitor, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Jewett automated filter machines and automated pleater machines.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
  • Quickly identify equipment failures and implement repairs to minimize production downtime.
  • Troubleshoot conveyors, motors, gearboxes, bearings, rollers, chains, belts, sensors, relays, and other production equipment.
  • Perform machine setups, adjustments, repairs, and changeovers.
  • Read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
  • Complete preventative maintenance schedules and maintenance work orders.
  • Assist with facility maintenance projects as needed.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Work closely with production to maximize equipment uptime and efficiency.
