About The Position

The Maintenance Technician Level II is responsible for facilities and equipment repairs, performing work in various maintenance trades including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, construction/carpentry, painting, and pneumatics. This role involves performing inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment, and requires the ability to work independently or with others on various projects. The technician will receive work instructions verbally and written on general work assignments, and may work from rough sketches and drawings, with no instruction needed on routine assignments. The position also requires adherence to all safety requirements, attendance at training classes, and following SOPs and quality/regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Documentable experience in the maintenance trades, formal apprenticeship or equivalent on the job training experience.
• Working knowledge basic industrial electrical & mechanical skills.
• Ability to speak read and write English.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must be able to work off ladders and aerial platforms.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Basic troubleshooting.

• Ability to work well with groups or independently.
• Good problem-solving skills required to resolve problems and making routine recommendations.
• Independence: Must be experienced at working independently or with others on various projects.
• Normally receives work instructions verbally and written on general work assignments. May work from rough sketches and drawings. Does not receive any instruction on routine assignments.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for facilities & equipment repairs through written and verbal instruction.
• Must perform work in various maintenance trades including, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, construction/carpentry, painting and pneumatics.
• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Required to properly fill out and return documentation and paperwork when task is completed.
• Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule.
• Will be on call and must respond to call outs as required.
• Be aware of costs, reduce or keep to a minimum expenditures.
• Ability and skills to perform facilities Maintenance level 2 work in addition being able to work on assignments that are moderately complex in nature.
