About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and motivated 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role involves working with little to no supervision to maintain and repair various types of machinery and building systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, be proficient in troubleshooting, and committed to safety and quality standards. This position requires a willingness to work overtime, including weekends and off shifts, and participate in an on-call program.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.
2 years minimum experience as a maintenance mechanic in a metal manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice ISO9001 standards for plastics manufacturing.
Ability to troubleshoot machinery.

Nice To Haves

Technical degree in a maintenance-related field.
PLC experience.
Experience with and ability to use all types of welding, cutting, machine, and hand tools.
Experience in high-speed packaging, welding, and mechanical power transmission.

Responsibilities

Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
Troubleshoot and repair machinery such as slitters, collectors, high speed welders, conveyors, and palletizers.
Install and maintain pipe systems, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and other related equipment.
Perform building maintenance including minor plumbing, welding, and general upkeep.
Repair and assess electrical issues as they arise.
Utilize the CMMS system to log labor and parts according to established expectations.
Work overtime, including weekends and off shifts as required.
Participate in the on-call program and potentially work additional hours on off shifts.
Understand and comply with quality, PPE requirements, and safety policies and procedures.
Oversee and distribute work orders as needed.
Ensure the maintenance team works efficiently and adheres to the priority list.
Help assign PMs with a goal of 100% completion.
Audit PMs to ensure compliance.
Write up new PMs for auxiliary equipment not currently in the CMMS system and add them to the system.
Audit LOTO procedures yearly and update Brady Link360.
Update the TPM board as required.
