About The Position

Hillcrest Health & Living is looking for a dependable, hands-on, and solutions-focused Maintenance Technician to join our team at Hillcrest Health & Rehab in Bellevue, NE. Requirements

  • Strong general building maintenance skills.
  • Experience with drywall, painting, plumbing, electrical, masonry, HVAC, or similar repair work.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfort using technology and maintenance tracking systems.
  • Flexibility to respond to urgent or changing building needs.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A service-minded approach and willingness to support other departments when needed.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
  • Must be able to independently lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Must be able to perform repetitive sitting, standing, bending, reaching, lifting, and movement throughout the shift.
  • Must be able to work in a variety of indoor and outdoor environments.
  • Must be flexible and calm when responding to unexpected or urgent maintenance needs.
  • Must have strong attention to detail and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to utilize technology and available resources efficiently and effectively.
  • Must be able to assist with snow removal and seasonal maintenance as needed.
  • Must be available for on-call support as needed and assigned.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • At least two years of building maintenance experience preferred.
  • HVAC schooling or training preferred.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems preferred.
  • Maintenance certification preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license preferred for operation of company vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain physical plant standards to help ensure a safe, clean, and well-functioning environment.
  • Complete general building repairs, including drywall, painting, masonry, plumbing, electrical, and other maintenance needs.
  • Troubleshoot HVAC-related issues and support routine system maintenance.
  • Respond to and complete work orders in a timely manner.
  • Complete preventative maintenance tasks according to established schedules.
  • Document completed work in asset management software.
  • Support OSHA and Life Safety Code compliance requirements.
  • Assist with Life Safety Code audits as needed.
  • Help other departments with moving, setting up, or relocating equipment needed for resident and guest care.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors as directed by the Environmental Services Director or Administrator.
  • Assist with snow removal and seasonal building needs.
  • Respond to unexpected maintenance issues as they arise.
  • Participate in on-call support as needed and assigned.
  • Jump in and help wherever needed to keep the community safe and operating smoothly.
