About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for a high-rise Multi-Family residential property. This role involves overseeing daily maintenance operations, performing skilled repairs, developing preventative maintenance programs, responding to emergencies, maintaining accurate records, managing resident relations, and ensuring safety and compliance. This is a leadership position focused on skilled maintenance, not janitorial duties.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • HVAC, EPA Universal Certification REQUIRED
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Minimum 3–5 years of residential maintenance experience
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems.
  • Proven leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead a team effectively.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Basic computer skills for reporting, scheduling, and communication.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate daily maintenance operations for a high-rise Multi-Family residential property.
  • Perform and/or delegate skilled repairs in plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, appliances, and general building maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues and ensure timely, high-quality completion of all repairs.
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive preventative maintenance program to ensure all building systems operate safely and efficiently.
  • Schedule inspections and coordinate equipment upgrades or replacements to maintain compliance with safety and energy standards.
  • Provide leadership during on-call rotations and respond to escalated maintenance emergencies (leaks, outages, HVAC failures).
  • Direct staff and vendors to ensure swift resolution of critical issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and inventory.
  • Monitor expenses, assist with budgeting, and report maintenance metrics to management.
  • Ensure professional and timely communication with residents regarding service requests and building updates.
  • Resolve escalated concerns and ensure a high level of resident satisfaction.
  • Enforce compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and health standards.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions as needed.
