We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our collaborative team at Memorial Health! This role involves scheduling, performing, and documenting preventative maintenance, corrective, and emergency repairs on all utility systems and hospital equipment. The technician will operate and maintain physical plant equipment, perform repairs on patient beds and wheelchairs, and handle general building repairs including painting, plumbing, lighting, and electrical troubleshooting. The position also requires assisting with equipment and utility systems, maintaining skills and credentials, and providing assistance to other personnel. Documentation of work performed using HEMS is essential. The role includes responding to emergencies, being part of the on-call team for after-hours emergencies, and keeping the Maintenance Manager informed of significant issues. The technician will also monitor outside contractors, maintain necessary parts and supplies, and ensure mechanical areas are clean and safe. Familiarity with the hospital and departmental safety plan, lockout/tag-out policy, and requirements from accrediting agencies like DNV/ODH is crucial. Adherence to all hospital and system policies and procedures, submission of cost-effective or safety-related ideas, and exhibiting Memorial’s core values are expected. Regular attendance and completion of mandatory education and health requirements are also necessary. Employees must perform within the Ethics and Compliance program and report any variances.
