About The Position

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring equipment reliability and facility maintenance, including plumbing and electrical work, as well as vendor management. This role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing manufacturing equipment, performing preventative and unscheduled maintenance, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in maintenance tasks. The technician will also manage vendors for repairs and supplies, maintain maintenance records, assist with IQ/PQ protocols, perform and assist with technical installations, and communicate with management regarding repairs to minimize impact on manufacturing timelines. Additionally, the role requires identifying and correcting safety issues and supporting manufacturing and facility staff.

Requirements

  • 10 yrs. experience in manufacturing, injection molding machinery.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • General carpentry, plumbing and electrical skills.
  • Understands hydraulics, electronics, and pneumatics.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Actively seek knowledge of advancements in technology.
  • Possess strong mechanical and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair manufacturing equipment in a timely manner.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and unscheduled maintenance with minimal impact on schedules and quotas.
  • Identify and perform continuous improvement of maintenance tasks.
  • Manage vendors for scheduling of repairs and supplies.
  • Maintain maintenance records per SOP.
  • Assist in IQ / PQ protocols as required per customer criteria.
  • Perform and assist with technical installations and operations of manufacturing equipment.
  • Maintain communication with management of active and potential repairs for minimal impact on manufacturing timelines.
  • Identify and correct any safety issues.
  • Support manufacturing and facility staff as necessary.
