Requirements

  • Skilled position at the journeyman level in several trades.
  • Proficiency in several trades.
  • Ability to determine work methods and procedures independently.
  • Receive assignments orally or through written instructions, which may be accompanied by sketches or diagrams.
  • Willing to abide by the company handbook in regard to following safety rules and job rotations.
  • Willing to report unsafe conditions, reporting unsafe acts, participating in safety/ergo committees, participating in safety Kazan events, participating in blue sky initiatives, participating in safety audits, and participating in safety observation feedback events.
  • Participate in communications events such as plant wide meetings, line meetings, department meetings, and training exercises.

Responsibilities

  • Installs, alters, electrical conduit, wiring, switching devices, controls, outlets, fixtures, motors, transformers and other such equipment.
  • Test, maintains and evaluates equipment performance using instruments such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, pyrometers and pressure gauges.
  • Troubleshoot PLC’s with computer terminal.
  • Perform trouble shooting of faulty equipment and perform minor repairs as required and see to general maintenance of system.
  • Performs skilled maintenance activities including construction, welding, brazing, soldering and plumbing.
  • Checks and repairs pumps, fans, valves and motors.
  • Adjusts repairs and replaces electrical and electronic pneumatic relays.
  • Prepare accurate records for preventive maintenance.
  • Performs related work as required
