About The Position

1st Lake Properties is seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join their team at Brewster Commons @ River Chase in Covington, LA. This full-time role involves troubleshooting and performing routine maintenance on electrical, plumbing, and appliances, as well as preparing vacant apartments for new residents. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, a problem-solver, and committed to providing exceptional customer service to ensure residents have a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained home. Requirements

Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar position
Strong knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting
Working knowledge of plumbing, appliances, and general apartment maintenance
Excellent communication and customer service skills
A dependable, team-oriented attitude and strong problem-solving skills
Ability to lift, stand, bend, climb, and perform physical maintenance tasks
Reliable transportation and your own basic tools
Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screening

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot problems and identify effective repair solutions
Perform routine maintenance for residents, including electrical, plumbing, and appliance repairs
Prepare vacant apartments for new resident move-ins
Complete work safely and in compliance with company safety standards
Keep accurate records of maintenance work and service requests
Respond promptly and professionally to resident maintenance requests
Deliver exceptional customer service and help create a positive resident experience
