About The Position

Lawrence Paper Company is seeking a dedicated and dependable Maintenance Technician for its maintenance department in Lawrence, Kansas. The role performs a full range of manufacturing maintenance assignments, using independent judgment to apply procedures and practices to specific work situations. The position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining heavy machinery.

Requirements

• Prior manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated with strong communication skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively with little supervision.
• Must be able and willing to obtain licenses or certifications needed to work in certain areas or on certain equipment, such as forklifts, aerial equipment, rigging, skid steers, and batteries.

Nice To Haves

• Welding experience is highly desired but not required.
• Electrical experience is highly desired but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform industrial mechanical, pipe-fitting, and hydraulic repairs.
• Rig and align machines, belt drives, and pulley drives.
• Maintain fork trucks.
• Troubleshoot and repair various types of equipment and machinery.
• Read blueprints and schematics.
• Perform welding and electrical work.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.
