About The Position

Alloy Products Corp. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team of technicians in Waukesha, WI. This is a great opportunity for someone with manufacturing experience in a sheet metal environment who likes to fix things, has a natural curiosity about how things work, and brings solid problem-solving skills to the table. You don't need to know it all — we're willing to teach the right person with the right mindset.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1–2 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in a sheet metal environment preferred; experience in maintenance, mechanic work, or similar preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of general maintenance in a manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with mechanical and electrical tools and testing equipment
  • Ability to work independently or under supervision while managing multiple tasks efficiently
  • Forklift operation experience preferred
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Valid driver's license

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic repairs and general maintenance to keep facilities functional, safe, and in good working order
  • Assist with basic plumbing, heating, cooling, and electrical repairs and installations
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical malfunctions on production machines and material handling equipment
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to catch issues early
  • Respond promptly to both minor and major facility-related service requests and emergencies
  • Open, close, and secure buildings and systems as required
  • Work with wastewater and hazardous chemicals in accordance with applicable codes and regulations
  • Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a safe work environment
  • Work as part of a team of technicians, taking direction from Supervisors and Management on priorities
  • Operate forklifts, cranes, and other industrial equipment to assist with loading/unloading, including use at elevated heights
  • Use mechanical and electrical tools and testing equipment proficiently
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and tools
  • Track stock of basic maintenance supplies and notify Supervisor when restocking is needed
