About The Position

Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking an energetic, experienced, hands-on Maintenance Technician for the Craftsman Inn. The position maintains the property grounds, public areas, and guest rooms; conducts preventative maintenance; responds to and completes work orders; and performs daily rounds to identify and report problems. Work includes painting, replacing electrical accessories, maintaining HVAC systems, and checking fixtures, lighting, and signs. The role also involves maintaining an adequate supply of spare parts and light bulbs and performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general carpentry.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Able to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
• Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.
• Must be able to visually inspect machines.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Hotel maintenance experience; the posting states a minimum of three (2) years is preferred.
• One year of college or trade school equivalent in a mechanical, electrical, and/or technical discipline.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the property grounds, public areas, and hotel guest rooms.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to prevent breakdowns in hotel accommodations.
• Paint, replace electrical accessories, and maintain HVAC systems.
• Check fixtures, lighting, and signs for proper operation.
• Maintain an adequate supply of spare parts and light bulbs.
• Respond to maintenance orders in a timely manner.
• Fulfill work orders in a timely manner.
• Complete daily rounds, identifying and reporting problems.
• Perform various other duties as assigned.
