About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing resort property and building systems, grounds, and equipment. The role includes painting, home remodeling, minor plumbing and electrical work, landscaping, and general upkeep. The technician is expected to work autonomously and responsibly, follow health and safety guidelines, and take pride in the standards and services delivered to residents. This position reports to the Community Manager.

Requirements

Property and/or building maintenance experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Physically capable of manual labor, including lifting, bending, and reaching.
Positive attitude and willingness to lead and work as part of a team.
Strong work ethic and organizational skills.
Values doing a good job and has self-supervisory skills.
Basic understanding of plumbing and other systems.
Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices.
Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
Negative drug test.

Nice To Haves

Building maintenance technology education or experience in a relevant field.
Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification.

Responsibilities

Assist with setup of ventilation, refrigeration, and other systems, and conduct repairs when necessary.
Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
Inspect fire and protection alarm systems and schedule repairs when needed.
Perform manual repairs, such as fixing locks and replacing windows.
Perform pest-control activities, including spraying insecticide.
Conduct general upkeep procedures and other assigned tasks.
Maintain grounds and landscaping.
Assist in budget preparation and ensure the budget is followed.
Mow, weed-eat, and trim hedges.
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment.
