About The Position

This role is for a Plant Maintenance Technician in a food manufacturing setting. The technician will be responsible for ensuring that production equipment is ready to perform and that the manufacturing operation runs safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate enjoys troubleshooting and fixing complex equipment to keep the operation running smoothly.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in a maintenance-related field or at least three years of industrial maintenance experience (mechanical and/or electrical)
  • Experience troubleshooting industrial manufacturing equipment
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
  • Welding, machining, fabrication, and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with production teams

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with PLCs, particularly Allen-Bradley and Siemens
  • Experience troubleshooting Allen-Bradley Variable Frequency Drives

Responsibilities

  • Performing preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment and plant systems
  • Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC, and VFD issues
  • Completing repairs involving welding, machining, fabrication, and electrical work
  • Responding quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime
  • Monitoring and maintaining plant utility systems, including air compressors, fire protection systems, and facility equipment
  • Performing equipment changeovers and format/size adjustments
  • Calibrating and adjusting metal detection systems while maintaining required documentation
  • Working closely with Production and Packaging teams to keep product flowing efficiently
  • Coordinating maintenance activities with outside contractors and vendors when needed
  • Prioritizing work orders to support production schedules
  • Participating in continuous improvement initiatives that improve reliability, safety, and efficiency
  • Maintaining accurate maintenance records and following all food safety and quality procedures
