Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Facilities Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the University building systems, appliances and infrastructure, including inspecting, testing, repairing, installing, and modifying components in and around buildings. The Facilities Maintenance Technician will prioritize safety and communication in their work and have a working knowledge of all electrical safety regulations. The Facilities Maintenance Technician will be required to perform various repair tasks and have a strong working knowledge in multiple trades, with demonstrated expertise in carpentry, HVAC, and plumbing. Ability to troubleshoot, prioritize work orders, and maintain building systems with minimal supervision is essential. This is a live-on-campus position working from 2-10:30 pm. The selected candidate is required to reside in employer provided housing located on campus as a condition of employment. Housing and applicable utilities will be provided in accordance to institutional policies. Because of the residential nature of the role, the employee is required to respond to emergencies, critical incidents, or operational needs outside of normal business hours.
