About The Position

The part-time Maintenance Technician supports the Maintenance department at the Raleigh Convention Center and Red Hat Amphitheater to ensure our maintenance operations run smoothly and attendees have a memorable experience. The Maintenance Technician at the Raleigh Convention Center is part of a venue that has a significant economic and cultural impact to Raleigh, holding hundreds of prominent convention and entertainment events each year. Requirements

• Experience in general maintenance
• The ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve, keeping calm under pressure
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, effectively interacting with others
• A commitment to safety, adhering to all protocols and procedures
• High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalency
• 1 to 3 years' experience in routine/minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, mechanical or related maintenance work
• Experience in general maintenance, with a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
• A knack for troubleshooting and problem-solving, keeping calm under pressure
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, effectively interacting with others
• A commitment to safety, adhering to all protocols and procedures

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair the facility, keeping the venue impressive to the public.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure everything runs smoothly, maximizing equipment lifespan and minimizing downtime.
• Respond promptly to customer requests and troubleshoot technical issues efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, promoting safety and efficiency.
