About The Position

The Maintenance Technician, 1st Shift is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems in a manufacturing plant. This role ensures that all equipment is operating efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company standards and regulations. The technician will work closely with production staff to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. 1st shift must have high and low voltage electrical experience. This first shift role is M-TH, 7:00AM - 3:30PM, with some variation on time. Must be available to work some Saturdays as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems; proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment
  • Must have extensive electrical experience
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and repair complex issues
  • Good verbal and written communication skills; ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and collaborate with production staff and other technicians

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled maintenance on plant equipment, including machinery, conveyors, and electrical systems
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues in a timely manner to minimize production downtime
  • Assist with the installation of new equipment and systems, ensuring they meet safety and operational standards
  • Conduct regular inspections of plant equipment to identify potential issues and perform preventive maintenance
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies; promote a safe working environment by adhering to all safety protocols
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs
  • Suggest and implement improvements to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency
  • Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and work collaboratively with other team members to resolve issues
  • Performs other duties as assigned
