The paid training you need to learn, grow, and succeed! Essential Functions: Perform routine maintenance, janitorial duties, and repair of buildings and grounds. Report needs for major repairs. Follow standards regarding safety, licensing, regulatory and agency requirements. Implement and manage preventive maintenance program.Assist in resident apartment or room turnover preparations. Perform on-call service, as scheduled, and respond promptly to emergencies. Demonstrate professional, positive behavior and carry out responsibilities with integrity, treating clients, families, other LSSI workforce members, and collaborative organizations and/or individual in a dignified, respectful, honest and fair manner Document work orders and complete other reporting functions in compliance with LSSI and/or funding source requirements.

Requirements

  • Does not require HS Diploma or GED if previous Maintenance Experience.
  • Must have 3 to 5 years progressive experience dealing with environmental factors, hazards such as bed bugs, pests or rodents.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate in clear, comprehensible manner, both verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent organization, presentation and pc/computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) along with other related software.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Background check clearance required.
  • Access to an insured vehicle with REQUIRED and valid IL statutory minimum insurance coverage.

Nice To Haves

  • Trade or technical school training preferred.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years maintenance experience preferred.
  • HUD, OSHA, REAC, and ECT or related training preferred.
