About The Position
Facilities Management & Planning is responsible for the care and maintenance of over 5.5 million square feet of academic, research, residential, administrative & athletic facilities, on a 432 acre urban campus. Join our team as a Maintenance Operations Mechanic!
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED.
- Ability to follow detailed instruction, both oral and written, in the English language.
- Mechanical aptitude and demonstrated skills.
- Knowledge of all job related tools and equipment.
- Three (3) years' experience in comparable work is required.
- Must be skilled in the following trades: carpentry, plumbing, and electrical.
- Individual must have a valid drivers license and be insurable by the University which includes maintaining a low risk driving record.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Nice To Haves
- General knowledge of appliance repairs and understanding of HVAC systems.
- Basic knowledge of computers and how to use an email and internet program.
