About The Position

DuPont's Water & Protection division is seeking Maintenance Technicians for its manufacturing site in Minneapolis, MN. This role is crucial for maintaining the site's manufacturing and process equipment, ensuring the delivery of innovative and sustainable solutions. The Water & Protection division serves markets such as construction, worker safety, energy, oil & gas, transportation, water purification, and medical.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of four (4) years relevant professional work (electronics, maintenance, computers, aerial/aircraft) or military experience is preferred.
  • Must be able to read, write, and comprehend documents in English.
  • A valid U.S. driver’s license is required.
  • Must be willing and able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as earplugs, gloves, safety glasses, hardhats, and steel-toed shoes.
  • Ability to stand; walk (up and down stairs); twist; bend; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or climb for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.
  • Ability to participate as an on-call resource for an average of 5 weeks a year to support 24/7 operations.
  • Ability to work legally in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • A 2-year technical/vocational degree in a related field is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and non-routine maintenance activities on manufacturing and process equipment.
  • Conduct maintenance in areas including fluid power, pneumatics, PLCs, mechanical, and electrical systems.
  • Work with scheduling and planning software.
  • Coordinate troubleshooting efforts with operations and engineers.
  • Implement improvements to ensure day-to-day site operation.
  • Exhibit a safety-conscious approach to work.
  • Abide by all workplace policies and procedures.
  • Effectively communicate, share information, resolve issues, and work with others.
  • Give and receive feedback respectfully and professionally.
  • Proactively anticipate changes and respond to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Be independently motivated to produce results.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain various mechanical machines and process equipment.
  • Understand and prioritize business needs.
  • Understand, analyze, and resolve technical problems throughout the site.

  • Utilize computer software programs to troubleshoot.
  • Operate a mechanical lift.
