About The Position

Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join their team at one of their properties in Eden Prairie, MN. This role involves performing interior and exterior preventative and repair maintenance in an apartment community, handling general maintenance requests, HVAC, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, and appliances. The technician will also be responsible for communicating effectively with residents, guests, and team members while operating in a safe manner to uphold safety and operations standards. This position will work with one community and over 500 market-rate units.

Requirements

Minimum three years of maintenance technician experience required.
Minimum of two years of hands-on experience in both HVAC and plumbing.
Working knowledge of appliances required.
Be able to pass a background check before employment.
Self-motivated.
Able to organize multiple tasks throughout the day.

Nice To Haves

Multifamily experience preferred.
Experience with unit turns.

Responsibilities

Conduct all community maintenance work, resident service requests, punch lists, building inspections, preventative maintenance, and cleaning.
Demonstrate safe use of hand and power tools and equipment.
Participate in apartment inspections for move-ins and move-outs.
Maintain inventory of basic personal tools to complete task requirements including but not limited to a hammer, screwdriver, adjustable wrench, tape measure, and flashlight.
Organize, maintain, and utilize provided supplies in a cost-effective manner.
Perform on-call service requests and emergency calls as needed.
Present an appearance appropriate to the image of the company.
Communicate concerns of the community with Supervisor.
Complete additional tasks or duties assigned by community leadership.
Perform maintenance on building systems including heating, cooling, and ventilation.
Perform maintenance on electrical systems such as GFIs, fixtures, circuits, receptacles, breakers, switches, and fuses.
Perform maintenance on plumbing systems such as toilets, sinks, and disposals.
Perform maintenance on appliances such as stoves, refrigerators, washers, and dryers.
Perform light carpentry and drywall repairs.
Repair and maintain door and window hardware.
Repair and maintain window screens and blinds.
Perform wall molding and caulking.
Repair and maintain counter tops and cabinets.
Repair and maintain vinyl and ceramic flooring covering.
Perform weather preparation and clean up including removing bulk trash.
Clean and inspect common area mechanical and storage rooms as needed.
Provide assistance with Make Ready items as needed.
