About The Position

Quanex is looking for a Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift to join our team located in Rice Lake, WI. This role involves performing routine maintenance tasks, diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues, and repairing or replacing defective parts. The technician will also conduct preventive maintenance, collaborate with team members, document activities, adhere to safety protocols, and assist with inventory management. Responsibilities include responding to maintenance requests and emergencies in a timely manner. Success in this role requires excellent problem-solving and communication skills, attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and the capacity to work both independently and within a team environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
Proficient in using maintenance tools and equipment.

Nice To Haves

Technical certification in a relevant field is a plus.

Responsibilities
