About The Position

The PEM-GSE Maintenance Technician performs periodic and reactive maintenance on production equipment and ground support equipment. This role involves demonstrating Leadec's values and business principles, working safely, and maintaining a clean and orderly workspace adhering to 5S standards. Responsibilities include performing PM tasks, closing out corrective actions, logging work in Maximo, responding to emergent maintenance needs, identifying and implementing PM and safety improvements, participating in training, and implementing customer feedback. The technician will lead efforts in root cause analysis and problem-solving for critical equipment downtime, provide high-level support for breakdowns and repairs of general service production and automated manufacturing equipment, and assist management with compliance and prioritizing maintenance work orders. The role requires rapid response to breakdowns, correction of mechanical, electrical, or programming issues, and troubleshooting of various systems including PLC, AC/DC Drive Systems, Robotic Systems, HVAC Systems, Diesel Systems, Hydraulic Systems, Electrical Systems, and Power Generation Systems. The technician will work from mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, ladder logic displays, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics, and update as-built drawings. Basic carpentry skills are also required. Adherence to EHS and Quality objectives in accordance with ISO 14001, 45001, and 9001 is mandatory. Other duties as assigned by the Leadec manager.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform PM tasks, close out corrective actions, and log work accordingly into Maximo work orders
  • Respond to emergent Maintenance needs by the Production Team
  • Identify and implement PM improvements and Safety improvements
  • Participate in training to increase knowledge about customer-affected equipment
  • Receive, respond to, and implement customer feedback, directives, opportunities for improvement, etc.
  • Ensure an excellent Leadec customer service level is provided to the customer
  • Responsible for leading efforts in root cause analysis, problem solving, and elimination of recurring issues. Priority will be placed on critical equipment, which will have the most significant impact on downtime.
  • Responsible for high-level support as needed for breakdowns and repair of general service production and automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Assist management with maintaining compliance and prioritizing preventative and reactive maintenance work orders.
  • Ability to respond rapidly to breakdowns on general production equipment during scheduled shifts.
  • Correct any mechanical, electrical, or programming issues associated with the automated systems.
  • Troubleshoot PLC (if applicable), AC/DC Drive Systems, Robotic Systems (if applicable), HVAC Systems, Diesel Systems, Hydraulic Systems, Electrical Systems, Power Generation Systems.
  • Work from mechanical drawings, electrical schematics and ladder logic displays, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics. Ability to update as built drawings.
  • Utilize basic carpentry skills including measuring, cutting, framing, using power tools, blueprint reading, and understanding joinery.
  • Adhere to and support all EHS and Quality objectives, in accordance with ISO 14001, 45001 and 9001 respectively.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Leadec manager.
