Requirements

  • Valid Millwright Certification (433A or 426A) Or Tool and Die Maker Certification (430A) or equivalent.
  • Or Diploma in automated systems, engineering, maintenance technician, or other related education;
  • 5+ years experience in an automated manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency using precision measurement tools (dial indicators, micrometers, verniers).
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of welding, mechanical assembly, and machining.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Allen-Bradley RSLogix5000 programming (an asset).
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to perform safely under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; collaborative team mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Support production lines by diagnosing, repairing, and troubleshooting equipment issues
  • Perform maintenance activities on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and chemical delivery systems
  • Operate machine tools (e.g., lathes, milling machines) and fabrication equipment (e.g., welders) to repair or fabricate parts as needed.
  • Install and upgrade automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Maintain and service compressors, material handling systems, motors, gearboxes, drives, and related machinery.
  • Collaborate with operators and supervisors to identify opportunities for improving uptime and efficiency.
  • Use computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for preventive maintenance and work orders
  • Assist in planning and executing plant shutdowns, start-ups, and new product launch support.
  • Manage inventory and purchase parts as required.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and provide direction or troubleshooting support.
  • Follow and promote all Health, Safety, and Hygiene protocols in the workplace.
